One boy is filled with anticipation when he hears there is snow in the forecast. He cannot think of anything else and waits impatiently all day for flakes to fall. He spends the day looking out the window, waiting and watching. He is so intent on looking up that he misses all the commotion on the street below. In the end, just as he is ready to give up, the long-awaited flakes finally begin to fall. He exclaims, “Nothing is as fun as snow!” Any child who has waited for snow will identify with this playful story of snow. The detailed illustrations provide lots to look at and enjoy. It is also a gentle reminder to enjoy the moment and notice what is around us.
