About the Author:

Kathy Trusty is a historian, a writer and a Black history educator. She is the owner of Black History Ed Zone, LLC, a company that creates Black history teaching materials for the classroom. She has authored three Black history books for children.  Black Inventors: 15 Inventions That Changed the World; The Story of Ella Fitzgerald; and Black History ABCs.
